minutes to midnight

The night is still long,
restless sleep ....
the morning ... so far.

This kind of dream, where you have to find out that one could indeed fly (after all, it's just a dream) but not only the wings are missing, but also the mouth, the voice ... and the knowledge that it IS just a dream.
An uncomfortable topic, but well known to everyone.
Sometimes there are then the shadows on the wall, bearing the keys and rush for help.
